Activities & Snacks
Activities:
- Add flour to a cookie sheet. Draw pictures or write the letter ‘f’ in the flour
- Dress-up as fairies. Add more fun with fairy dust (glitter)
- Dress-up as firefighters
- Finger paint
- Go fishing (field trip or game)
- Make a feeling bag! Place items that begin with the /f/ sound (feather, frog, fish) into the bag and let the student/child guess the object by reaching in and feeling the object… No peeking!
- Make fish puppets with paper plates. Cut one paper plate into four sections and use the triangle sections as fins! Make a fierce frightening fish or a fun friendly fish!
- Place paper feet on the floor. Follow the feet to find a surprise!
- Put paint on feet. Make footprints on a long piece of white paper. Then, follow the footprints!
Snacks:
- Fish rolls (pretend sushi)! Roll Rice Krispie Treats and Swedish Fish (Gummy Fish) in Fruit Roll Ups!
- Fish sticks
- Figs
- Falafel
- Fondue (dip fruit or alphabet cookies in chocolate syrup)
- Go fishing! Place peanut butter or cream cheese on the end of a pretzel stick and catch Goldfish crackers!
