Activities & Snacks
Activities:
- Attach a LARGE rainbow to the floor made out of construction paper or colored streamers. Run/race down the rainbow to reach for a prize in a pot at the end of the rainbow (rings, rubber stamps, red candy, red ribbon, etc.)
- Go on a “red” hunt! Find as many red objects as you can!
- Make pictures of strawberries from red thumb prints.
- Play Word War! Use a deck of /r/ or /r/ blend articulation cards. Deal all cards out to all players. Each player flips over one card and says the word on their card. The card with the most letters wins the hand. If the length of the word is the same, the players put one card face down and one card face up and repeat the process (say the word and compare number of letters). Winner of hand must say all words on all cards!
- Race red cars
- Rake leaves outdoors or indoors (use silk leaves with Fisher Price rakes indoors)
- Roll!! Playdough, balls, or kids!!
- Walk like a robot!
- Make a reindeer ornament!
- Make reindeer food!
- Pretend to be reindeer!
