Activities & Snacks
Activities:
- Finger paint polka dots with purple/pink paint
- Go on a picnic with foods that begin with the /p/ sound (popcorn, pizza, punch, pudding, pie, pancakes, peanuts, pickles, potato chips, popsicle, pretzels)
- Have a parade!
- Make a large pocket out of paper. Then pull pictures of objects that begin with the /p/ sound out of the paper pocket.
- Make up your own short stories in reference to “If You Give a Pig a Pancake”. Use the carrier phrase, “If you give a pig a ____”. Add different words that begin with the /p/ sound.
- Paint the letter ‘p’ with pudding paint!
- Pin the tail on the pig!
- Place pennies in a piggy bank. Count the pennies as you put them in or take them out.
- Play at the park!
- Play with green play dough. Make make peas, pea pods or pickles!
- Pop popcorn!
- Pop some bubbles!
- Plant a real or pretend garden! Use the following ‘p’ words: pail, potatoes, peppers, peanuts, pumpkins pickles, peas, pears, petunias, petals, pineapple

- Make some muddy pigs with pink marshmallow and chocolate pudding!
